Remember Makino? She was the woman bartender from the Partys Bar,back in Luffy‘s home town, Foosha village. Makino was very fond of Luffy, and close to Ace as well. She was also a close friend of Shanks, since he and his pirate crew visited the bar there.
What’s interesting about her is that after the timeskip she was shown carrying a young son in her arms. What if that boy is the son of Shanks, or maybe the son of another red haired crew member?
Momonosuke ordering Zunisha
In the Zou arc, we saw an interesting happening. Luffy could hear thegiant elephant Zunisha speaking, as well as Momonosuke. I believe that this has something to do with the ability to hear the voice of all things, as we have discussed in another theory. However, Momonosuke could also speak to Zunisha and order her to attack and wipe out Jack’s fleet. Why?
Well, there is a possibility that Momonosuke has a power similar to Shirahoshi and be able to order Kings of Beasts. That could potentially mean that he also is an Ancient Weapon. Or, that he simply has a better ability to hear the voice of all things than Luffy. Alternatively, Zunisha may be obligated to answer and follow orders from members of the Kozuki clan, and who is more fitting for that than its rightful leader, Momonosuke?
Because of the fact that i love other anime too, i decided to let myself slack off here and there and diverge from writing exclusively about One Piece. So, moving forward you can expect random posts on other anime and manga as well. It may be Naruto(one of my favorites) or any other anime or manga for that matter. Here, i want your suggestions. Any anime or manga you want me to cover? Any feedback as to whether you like One Piece Theories branching out to other anime except One Piece or not? Your ideas are much appreciated. For now, lets get back to today’s discussion.
Who is the Strongest Hokage?
These days, i am rewatching the original Naruto series with my girlfriend, as i decided to introduce her into the world of anime(a third attempt after making her watch Death Note and Code Geass, but that’s a whole other story :P). For the purpose of this post, i will not bring Tsunade, Kakashi and Naruto into the discussion, as i want to keep this comparison between the 4 original Hokages.
Hashirama Senju
The man called the god of shinobi. In terms of raw power he is probablythe most powerful of all the Hokages. His chakra is even feared by his brother. Lets remember that he just raised his chakra when Sasuke and Orochimaru revived the Hokage during the fourth shinobi world war. We shouldn’t forget that this is because he inherited the chakra of Ashura. In his prime, he fought on par with Uchiha Madara resulting in their legendary statues in the Valley of the End. His Mokuton bloodline limit is a power that could go as far as to suppress the power of the Nine Tails and fight evenly with a complete Susanoo! His power doesn’t stop there, with him being able to enter and fight in Sage Mode, making him a total beast really.
But the guy wasn’t just power and badassery. Hashirama also held high ideals and wanted to bring true peace to the shinobi world. After all, that’s why he founded Konohagakure together with Madara and the Uchiha clan. He didn’t achieve his vision of complete peace during his lifetime. However, his ideals and the feats he achieved, remained as a legacy to shape the future of the shinobi world later on.
Tobirama Senju
The brother of Hashirama and the man who became the second Hokage. He certainly stays in the shadow of his brother. However, it would be idiotic if someone ditched him just for that reason. After all, he co-founded Konoha with his older brother. What is more noteworthy about him though, is that throughout his lifetime he strived to achieve political stability in Konoha.
For that reason, he was especially wary of the Uchiha clan and that’s exactly why he formed the Konoha police. However, he didn’ stop there. He introduced many other institutions that basically ensured the prosperity and continuity of the village of Konoha. That’s why his strategic moves were probably the most influential among the Hokages.
Talking about power only, Tobirama was certainly a beast. High chakra reserves and unbelievable speed, certaily one of the fastest shinobis in history, if not the fastest, were his physical characteristics. As fas as ninjutsu is concerned, he invented many innovative techniques, such as the favorite of Naruto, the Shadow Clone technique, the Impure World Reincarnation that Orochimaru perfected later on and many others. He wielded a sword and could even cast a Perpetual Darkness ninjutsu, that even Hiruzen Sarutobi couldn’t dispel.
He was the strongest water element user in history. He could use suiton techniques without even having a source of water around. He also created the space-time ninjutsu technique to teleport himself to any location he had already marked, the one Minato later perfected.
Hiruzen Sarutobi
The third Hokage has also been called God of Shinobi along with Hashirama. Another of his titles has been the Professor, due to him knowing all the ninja techniques that existed in Konoha. He could use all five nature transformations. However, he mostly used earth and fire techniques.
His sensei was Tobirama, while he also received tutelage from Hashirama. His students were the legendary Sannin, Jiraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru. One of his greatest feats was that he managed to defeat the reincarnations of the first and second Hokage in his fight with Orochimaru, while also being able to seal all of Orochimaru’s techniques. The question arises. Is he stronger than the first and second combined? Probably not, because their reincarnations weren’t as powerful as the originals.
He became Hokage after the death of Tobirama and a second time after the death of Minato Namikaze. He kept the position for the longest and as a result many generations of shinobi stemmed from his guidance.
Minato Namikaze
The man known as the yellow flash of Konoha, known for his speed and perfecting the space-time ninjutsu of Tobirama. He died during the attack of the Nine Tails in Konoha, being able to seal part of its chakra into his son Naruto with his original death reaper technique. He was the student of the legendary Sannin Jiraiya, who later also became the sensei of Naruto. He himself was the sensei of Kakashi, Obito and Rin, a really important team as well.
During the Konoha Crush, everyone thought he was the only one who could defeat Orochimaru and his death was regretted. He also was the one who created the Rasengan, that Jiraiya and Naruto use later on. He could use Katon, Fuuton and Raiton and summon toads.
He had special kunai and used them for his space time ninjutsu. After his reincarnation he could also use tailed beast mode instantly! He used sealing techniques, which Kushina taught him, and could easily enter Sage Mode. He was one of the most feared shinobis in the third shinobi world war.
Benn Beckman is the first mate ofShanksas we all know and probably one of the most trusted members of his Crew, along with Yasopp and Lucky Roo. We have seen very little about him, so it’s essentialthat we discuss thepowerofBenn Beckmanand where could we rank him in theOne Pieceuniverse of powerful New World characters.
What we do know about Benn Beckman
We have only seen Beckman three times. At the start of the anime whenwe first saw the Red Haired Pirates, where he defeated some bandits with only his cigarette and gun(which he used as something like a sword, but more on that later). We also saw him when Shanks met Ace for the first time, in that weird cave. The last time we saw him was during the Paramount War, where he threatened Kizaru by just pointing his gun at him, something that probably surprised us at the time.
Benn Beckman’s name and role
Most likely, Benn Beckman’s character is modeled after Johann Beckman. Johann Beckmann was a German scientific author and the man who introduced the term technology. Moreover, he was the first person to teach technology as an academic subject. As well as that, he was a famous inventor.
We also know from Oda, that Benn Beckman is supposed to be the smartest man in East Blue, having the highest IQ in the region. From that, we can notice a commonality of his with Johann Beckmann. That’s why, we could suspect that Benn Beckman is some kind of inventor/shipwright for the Red Haired Pirates, similar to Franky‘s role for the Straw Hats.
Benn Beckman fighting style
We have seen him carry a handgun around, the one he used to threaten Kizaru during the end of the Marineford War. However, if someone paid more attention, it seems that he also uses the gun similarly to a sword or club as well. It seems that he uses bullets from long and medium range and switches to hitting with the gun itself in short range fights.
Benn Beckman certainly is a master of Haki. He probably is able to coat his gun with Haki when using it as a close range weapon, much like Vergo did with hsi weapon and body. This idea can go along well with his potential fight with Shiliew of the Rain, with whom he was paired up against during the War of the Best.
Why was Kizaru afraid of Beckman’s gun?
The only possible explanation that comes to mind is that Beckman useshaki bullets or even sea prism stone bullets for his long range attacks. Also, thinking he may be an inventor, what if he has injected sea prism stone in his gun’s body, the way Smoker’s weapon is made? It’s only natural that a pure devil fruituser would be scared to death, if Beckman’s gun was pointing at them.
To sum up, most probably Beckman is a master of haki and uses his high intelligence to fight.
Beckman’s possible devil fruit
The idea for the bullets having haki and/or sea prism stone seems like a valid one. However, we know that Kizaru can move at the speed of light. Why was he afraid of Beckman’s bullets? Why couldn’t he just dodge them?
Kizaru went as far as to put his hands up when Beckman was about to attack him. That could mean two things. The first is that he wanted to point the fact that Beckman is certainly a force to be reckoned with. The second is that he knew his devil fruit power and was simply afraid of it. But what could that power possibly be?
Well, a power really fitting for a person attacking with bullets could be a time altering one. What if his devil fruit ability allows him to speed up objects around him, such as bullets? Well, that could mean that he actually speeds up time around objects according to his liking. How does a bullet like that sound to Kizaru? Could it reach the speed of light and hit him? Why not!
He could even go to greater lenghts and use his devil fruit to speed up the ship of the Red Haired Pirates. That may be the way they managed to reach Marineford just in time to end the war. Also, in big fights he could do that for his crew members, making unbelievable combos seem easy.
The Red Haired Pirates and the Straw Hats
If we look closely, we can spot some parallels in the two crews that canpotentialy lead to a crazy theory about Beckman. There are many similarities between members of the Straw Hats and the Red Haired Pirates.
Luffy with Shanks for example. Shanks saved Luffy from the Sea Kings, inspired him to become a pirate and even gave him the Straw Hat of the former Pirate King. Usopp and Yasopp are father and son, resemble each other in appearance and are both the snipers of their crews. Also, if we believe the theory that Mihawk is a secret Red Haired member, we have his relationship with Zoro. They are apprentice and student, both swordsmen and Mihawk is Zoro’s goal and role model. What about Beckman?
He smokes and has high intelligence, so there is a possibility that he has a similarity with Sanji. If that is the case, then what if Beckman is an uncle of Sanji? The brother of Sanji’s father, a Vinsmoke himself, who like Sanji was fed up with the Germa 66 policies and decided to chart his own route. A crazy but really interesting theory.

Snapchat Creates a Frida Kahlo Filter for International Women’s Day
Snapchat added three filters to celebrate famous women for International Women’s Day.
What's a social media company to do for International Women’s Day?
Well, in the case of Snapchat, the company has decided to encourage a
type of drag by releasing three filters of famous women.
Among the three filters Snapchat released this week is one dedicated to Mexican Modern artist Frida Kahlo.
Some are accusing the social media company of cultural insensitivity
over two of the filters, which also include one for Nobel Prize-winning
scientist Marie Curie and another for Civil Rights activist Rosa Parks.
While there may be cause for concern in the case of Parks, with some arguing that it is a case of digital “blackface” — particularly from a company that has a history of it — it seems odd to make the same accusation
for the Kahlo filter, considering the artist often played with and
exaggerated various cultural representations (her father was German,
while her mother was both of Indigenous Mexican and Spanish heritage).
One San Francisco-based blogger suggested that the filter lightens Kahlo’s skin and
used a painting as proof, yet that comparison isn’t necessarily
an accurate point of comparison — though it is troubling that the app
lightens skin color at all — considering the artist often painted
herself differently each time. Kahlo even appears to darken her skin in
many of her paintings in homage to the indigenous Mexican heritage with
which she felt a kinship. It’s worth remembering that recent research
has even called into questionKahlo’s own claims that her father was of Jewish heritage, suggesting the artist often liked to pass for various ethnicities.
So, the question is: do you feel comfortable using the filters or not?
